Repo Rocks, who has a trio of graded stakes placings on his resume, got his first stakes win on Nov. 23 in the appropriately-named Let’s Give Thanks S. at Parx.
The 4-year-old son of Tapiture had performed admirably against the likes of Life Is Good in the past, and proved he was up to the task on Wednesday. He stalked the pace for most of the 6 ½-furlong trip, then kicked into high gear in the final sixteenth to win by a neck over Twisted Ride.
Owned by the Double B Racing Stables, Repo Rocks is 5-6-6 in 30 starts and has earned $44,571. Prior to Wednesday’s stakes win, he placed in the John Nerud S. (G2) this year and the Tom Fool H. (G3) and Toboggan S. (G3) in 2021.
Repo Rocks was bred by Mrs. C. Oliver Iselin III.
Repo Rocks is one of Tapiture’s 148 individual winners this year, which leads all Fourth-Crop sires. Tapiture will stand at Darby Dan Farm in 2023 for $7,500 S&N.
